This week’s Mad Men brings back a character we haven’t seen in a while, Paul Kinsey, and gives us a look at a relationship between two characters – Joan and Don – who we don’t often see interact (but wow, when they do, is it entertaining). Financial problems also start to make Lane Pryce sweat in a subplot that’s obviously leading to something far more serious.
The Paul story line kind of feels like a filler-y diversion, but I still liked seeing the old character and getting to see a side of Harry Crane, who’s been relegated to being made fun of by Don lately. There are big moments this week I want to discuss, though, so to get to it, just read more.

Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz may have “officially split” a little while ago, but it looks like the two are still very much involved in some way! The seemingly “on again” pair were spotted leaving a yacht party in Cannes.
Hopefully Eva and Eduardo were able to work out whatever happened between them. They seem genuinely happy together. I wonder how Eva feels about tying the knot for a third time? Sometimes the third time’s the charm!

Legendary singer Donna Summer has died at the age of 63. She passed away this morning after battling cancer for years.

It has been confirmed by the family of Donna Summer that she did indeed loose her battle with lung cancer. TMZ was first to break the story and revealed that the amazing singer was in Florida at the time of her death. She is survived by her singer and producer Bruce Sudano; their daughters, Brooklyn and Amanda; and Summer’s daughter, Mimi, from a previous marriage.
I don’t know about you but I was unaware that Summer was battling lung cancer and according to TMZ that is exactly how she wanted it. Reportedly Donna did not want to let the world know the extent of her illness. In fact there are reports that the “Last Dance” singer was actually trying to get a new album finished in the weeks leading up to her death. Perhaps one day fans might get to hear some tracks off of that album. I have no doubt it would have been a huge success just like she was.
Ever since the 1970’s when she literally shot to stardom with such hits as ‘Hot Stuff” and “Bad Girls” Donna Summer has been a staple in the music world. They didn’t call her the disco queen for nothing folks. However she quickly proved that she and her music had staying power as generations grew to love the singer and her songs. I know that in the 1990’s as a teenager I was dancer and one of my all time favorite dances that I ever performed was to Donna Summer’s “Last Dance”. Good memories I tell you.
The music world lost another one its greatest singers today with the death of Donna Summer. She may be gone but neither she nor her music will ever be forgotten.
RIP Donna Summer here is hoping you have your disco shoes on and are dancing in heaven right now.
